Magazine publisher Antonis Liberis dies

Greek publisher Antonis Liberis, a prominent player in the country's media in the 1980s and 1990, has died, aged 71, it was announced on Monday.

In its heyday, the Liberis Publications Group included magazines such as Hello, Vogue, Glamour, Lifestyle, Status, Lucky, Prevention, Men's Health, Focus, Geo, Ego, 7 Days TV, Tele-control and radio stations VFM and BEST Radio.

The publishing house faced increasing financial problems during Greece's economic crisis and eventually folded in November 2012, after banks refused to issue more loans. 

He is survived by his wife and three children.
