An alarming exodus

The number of students at military academies who are dropping out of their studies is alarmingly high.

The exodus is simply too big to be dismissed as a coincidence and the reasons why this is happening need to be investigated. 

Should the findings of such an investigation deem it necessary, the higher military education system will need to be radically reformed so that it becomes a desirable professional option for young men and women with ambition and talent.
