Discussion about the basics
Disagreement and political confrontation are the oxygen of parliamentary democracy. However, no democracy can function without an agreement on the basics.
Political parties must exclude from their routine confrontations areas that concern the very functioning of the state, such as the Presidency of the Republic and constitutional revision.
That is why it is always good news when political leaders hold talks about these issues even if only to understand, in good faith, where exactly they disagree.
