A collective primal scream and the murder of Brian Thompson

First in his class, valedictorian, Ivy League top university graduate, instructor at Stanford, private high school attendee, handsome, friendly, hailing from a very wealthy and successful family. And a murderer, with no previous criminal record. How can this be?

It has become quite clear now to anyone who even infrequently glances at social media sites that this person, Luigi Mangione, 26 years old, is becoming a modern-day folk hero, though in a nation which appears to be increasingly conservative. Even Mangione himself spoke highly of Jordan Peterson and approved of some of Elon Musk's ideals. Mangione's cousin was a Republican state delegate. 

Rage can happen to anyone; it really shouldn't be so difficult to understand. But perhaps for non-American citizens, some explanation is needed.
