Guilfoyle: Greece-US relations will deepen under Trump presidency

Kimberly Guilfoyle has told national broadcaster ERT that she was very honored to be named by president-elect Donald Trump as US ambassador to Greece.

Guilfoyle told ERT she could not wait to secure the approval of the relevant US Senate committee for the post and expressed enthusiasm over working with the Greek government to ensure that the strong Greek-US relations will continue to deepen under the leadership of president-elect Trump.

As a valuable NATO ally, Greece plays a key role in the European Union, she added, while pointing out that her appointment in Athens underlined the regard Trump has for Greece and reflected the deep and dynamic relationship between the two countries.
