Two arrested for burglaries in Athens’ northern suburbs

Two men who were breaking into homes in Athens' northern suburbs have been apprehended by the Hellenic Police.

According to a months-long police investigation, the suspects, aged 29 and 52, are Albanian nationals who have been breaking into residences since at least September.

The suspects typically operated during the morning and afternoon hours. They rented vehicles and used master keys to break into homes.

They often scouted their target houses on foot, distributing promotional flyers to avoid raising suspicion among neighbors. They would ring doorbells to check if the residents were away, targeting both nearby apartment buildings and multiple apartments within the same building.
