Two to testify in Serres murder case as police search for additional suspects

Two men accused of murdering a 34-year-old father on New Year's Day in a busy pedestrian area of Serres are set to testify on Monday, as authorities continue their search for two additional suspects in the case.

The suspects, aged 27 and 29, appeared in court on Thursday, facing charges of intentional homicide and weapons law violations. Prosecutors have formally charged the men and referred the case to an examining magistrate. The suspects requested and were granted a postponement, allowing them time to prepare their testimony.

The victim, a father of two with a third child on the way, was killed in the early hours of January 1 on a central pedestrian street.
