14-year-old hospitalized after TikTok challenge in Thessaloniki

A high school student in Thessaloniki fainted and was taken to the hospital after attempting to participate in a TikTok challenge. The 14-year-old girl was transported by ambulance to the Hippocrates Hospital.

According to a parent's complaint, the girl and her classmates were taking part in the "Valsava" challenge, which involves holding one's breath for as long as possible. During the attempt, the girl lost consciousness and suffered a head injury from the fall.

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis intervened in the matter, expressing concern over this and similar incidents.

"We absolutely must do everything we can to stop our children from engaging in such dangerous activities!" he wrote in a social media post.
