BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic stated on Monday that the Serbian government is investing efforts in order to achieve macroeconomic stability, improve business conditions and enhance the investment climate.

Northern Greece man arrested after discovery of antiquities' hoard

More than 1,000 antique coins and dozens of weapons have been seized during a raid on a residence in Imathia, northern Greece, police said Monday.

During the raid in the village of Alexandria, police found 1,061 copper coins, the majority of which have been identified by experts as dating from the 3rd-1st century BC, the Byzantine period and the Ottoman Empire.

All team sports suspended next weekend in memory of dead fan

The government announced on Monday the suspension of all team sports events in Greece scheduled for next weekend, October 4 and 5, in the memory of the Ethnikos Piraeus fan who died a few hours earlier, having been attacked in mid-September by hooligans in a third-division soccer game.

Miscevic: Serbia is committed to reforms and EU membership

ADAC: Belgrade most inexpensive destination in Europe

BELGRADE- When it comes to travel costs, Belgrade is the most inexpensive big city in Europe, showed the latest survey conducted by German automobile club ADAC as part of the European cooperation program "Euro-test".

Belgrade tops the list compiled by ADAC, with the "most inexpensive" tag, as daily travel costs in the Serbian capital amount to around EUR 41, reports Deutsche Welle.

Bulgaria's Dimitrov Beats Verdasco in First China Open Match

Tennis player Grigor Dimitrov managed to secure a hard victory against Spain's Fernando Verdasco in his first encounter at China Open in Beijing.

Dimitrov won the match that lasted 1 h 36 min and ended 6:1, 3:6, 6:3.

After an easy first set for Dimitrov, Verdasco posed a tough challenge to the Bulgarian, who lost the second one.
