Australia Police Arrest Two for Alleged Transfers of Stolen Money to Bulgaria

Australian police have arrested two alleged members of a trans-national organised crime group that funnelled money stolen from automatic teller machines (ATMs) across Australia to Bulgaria, The Guardian reported on Monday.

Queensland detectives have charged two men with money laundering as part of an alleged scam operating across three Australian states.

PM "won't be happy" if Telekom privatization fails

Aleksandar Vucic reiterated on Monday that the state-owned telecommunications company, Telekom Srbija, will not be privatized "unless a good price is achieved."

However, the prime minister added that in this case, "he will not be happy," while the company would find itself "in serious problems."

Twenty-eight suspects in a case into the Gezi Park protests of summer 2013 have been sentenced to jail terms ranging from five months to one year, in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri. 

"No political settlement if Moscow defends Assad"

U.S. State Secretary John Kerry says his country "plans to coordinate its actions with Russia when sending its servicemen to Syria."

Kerry told the MIR TV channel that the United States "wanted to broaden its cooperation with Russia, but it depended on Moscow's decision concerning the Syrian political settlement," Sputnik reported.

Dubai property giant Emaar profit up 31 percent in Q3

Dubai-based real estate developer Emaar Properties on Sunday reported a 31-percent rise in net profits during the third quarter of 2015.

Emaar - best known for building the world's highest tower, the Burj Khalifa - said it had recorded net profit of $230 million between July and September 2015, compared to $176 million during the same period last year.

Bible to undergo carbon test

A carbon test will be applied to a gilded Bible that was seized last week in Turkey's northern province of Tokat. 

The bible, thought to date back around 1,000 years, was found in a police operation targeting a group in Tokat that was illegally selling historical artifacts.
