Several thousands Poles wearing black clothes participated yesterday in protest rallies in several Polish cities for women's rights, celebrating the first anniversary of mass protests against an almost implemented ban on abortion, Reuters reported.

Ekaterina Zaharieva Takes Part at Quadrilateral Ministerial Meeting in Thessaloniki and Macedonia

ECB tells banks to set aside more cash on bad loans

The European Central Bank will ask eurozone banks from next year to set aside more cash to cover newly classified bad loans and may also present additional measures to tackle the sector's huge stock of bad debt, it said on Wednesday.

Defense minister Panos Kammenos announced plans for joint air force drills with Cyprus, Israel, Egypt and other European countries, as part of efforts to bolster stability in the eastern Mediterranean.

Panos Kammenos’ remarks came after a military parade in the Cypriot capital to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the ethnically divided island’s independence.

ECB Asks Banks to Set Aside More Cash on Bad Loans

The European Central Bank will ask euro area banks to set aside more cash to cover bad loans from next year, it said on Wednesday, as it tries to tackle the sector's persistent problem with soured loans, reported Reuters.
