'Shame on you' chant Greek pensioners over bailout cutbacks
Several hundred elderly Greeks shouting "shame" marched through Athens on Tuesday protesting against deep cutbacks to pension payments ordered by the indebted country's creditors.
In weak autumn sun and a city teeming with tourists, pensioners took to the streets angered by more than a dozen rounds of cuts since Greece toppled deep into crisis in 2010.
Serbian Students Charged with Organising Anti-Vucic Rally
Serbia's Interior Ministry filed charges against students Pavle Terzic and Gavrilo Vucetic for allegedly organising one of a series of unlicensed and officially leaderless protests entitled 'Against the Dictatorship', which were staged after Aleksandar Vucic's victory in the April 2 presidential elections.
Google and Apple Report Jump in Requests for User Data
US government requests to Google for individuals' data reached a six-year high in the first half of 2017, the company says.
A report published last week said the country had sought details about 48,902 accounts - 24% more than over the last six months of 2016.
Apple reported a 62% jump in the number of user account requests from the US over the same period - 6,407 in total.
Russian Opposition Leader Navalny Sentenced to 20 Days in Prison
Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny was sentenced yesterday to 20 days in prison for organizing unauthorized protests, France's press reported, quoted by BTA.
This will temporarily suspend his campaign for the presidential election next year.
It is a gift for Putin's birthday, "said Navalny, referring to President Vladimir Putin, who celebrated 65 years on Saturday.
