Allegation of lawmaker intervention in femicide case spark controversy

The controversy continues regarding the allegations on the main opposition Republican People's Party's (CHP) lawmaker of calling the father of a university student, who was killed in the Aegean province of Muğla last year, and asking him to give up the criminal case.

Bulgaria: Tsvetana Pironkova is Athlete of 2020

Tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova was named the best athlete of the year in Bulgaria.

 In the challenging 2020 for sports, in which many competitions were postponed or canceled, the choice was difficult.

As exception, the organizers decided to vote only the top five instead of the top ten as usual.  

Minister sounds alarm as cases spike in 10 regions

Citing the latest data, Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias warned that there has been a spike in the number of coronavirus cases reported over the last week in Kalymnos, Kozani, Kilkis, West Attica, Evros, Thassos, Florina, Rodopi, Lesvos and Xanthi.
