Police confiscates 644,500 contraband cigarette packages in western Athens
Greek Police announced on Friday that it confiscated 644,500 contraband cigarette packages during an operation in the Aspropyrgos area of western Athens, on Thursday.
According to the police, four men were arrested on an Aspropyrgos field while they were transferring the packages from a container to a truck trailer. The packages lacked a duty stamp tape.
Restaurant owner in southern Athens arrested for alleged rape
Α 51-year-old restaurant owner in the Glyfada area of southern Athens accused of raping a 31-year-old woman, appeared before a prosecutor on Thursday.
The man was arrested on Wednesday, after the woman reported him to the police, saying the 51-year-old attacked her after inviting her for drinks in his restaurant on Tuesday night.
Vucevic receives Japanese ambassador
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic received Japanese Ambassador to Belgrade Akira Imamura on Friday to discuss bilateral relations, economic cooperation and partnership in joint projects, and noted that next week's visit to Japan by a group of Serbian businesspeople would be a good opportunity to expand cooperation and share experiences.

New Democracy (ND), SYRIZA, PASOK and KKE are holding their main pre-election rallies next week in Athens and Thessaloniki ahead of the June 9 European elections.
Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to give a speech in ND's main pre-election rally at Syntagma square, in Athens on Friday, June 7. He will also appear at Thessaloniki on Wednesday, June 5.
