The Fire in Keratea that broke out just before 12:00 noon in the Plaka area.

Information so far says that homes have been burned. So far, 52 rescues and dozens of evacuations of homes have been carried out.

A wildfire broke out in Andros island on Sunday afternoon.

The fire is burning in the area of Agios Petros, while strong wings are complicating firefighting efforts.

Some 15 firefighters with 5 vehicles and 1 helicopter have been dispatched to the scene.

Wildfire breaks out in Evros, northern Greece

A fire broke out on Sunday morning in the Soufli area of Evros in northern Greece. 

According to the fire department, the fire is burning in an agricultural and forest area.

Some 26 firefighters with 9 vehicles have bene dispatched to the scene, while three aircraft and one helicopter are assisting from the air.

Photos posted on social media on Sunday show the destruction caused by the fire in Serifos island.

Police fine dozens of drivers for misuse of flashing lights
