Illegal immigrants swam from Turkey to Kos
There is a steady flow of illegal immigrants arriving on the country’s islands.
Yesterday morning, the Port Authority of Kos was informed by the Police Department of Kos that a person was swimming towards the Greek coast in the sea area “Lampi”.
The swimmer came ashore on his own and was taken to the General Hospital-Health Center of Kos for first aid and was discharged.

AKP says Abbas planning visit to Türkiye
The ruling Justice and Development Party has said that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is planning to visit Türkiye, without specifying a particular timeframe.
Abbas could not accept Ankara's innovation and travel to Türkiye due to health issues, AKP spokesperson Ömer Çelik said during a press conference on July 29 in the capital Ankara.

PARIS - Serbian sport shooters Zorana Arunovic and Damir Mikec won the gold medal in the 10 m air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday.
In the final in Chateauroux, Arunovic/Mikec defeated the Turkish pair of Sevval Ilayda Tarhan/Yusuf Dikec 16-14.
Arunovic and Mikec took the first medal for Serbia at the Paris Olympics.

The Turkish parliament ratified a controversial bill regarding the handling of stray dogs early July 30 following hours-long debates amid criticism and protests.

Desislava Angelova has advanced to the semi-finals of the single sculls in Paris, as reported by gong.bg. Competing in the first quarter-final, the Bulgarian rower secured a third-place finish, earning her a spot in the next phase.
Australia's Tara Rigney won the heat with a time of 7:30.57, followed by the USA's Kara Kohler. Angelova completed the two-kilometer distance in 7:41.25.
