Evia: Road accident – Collision between a truck and a train

An accident occurred a few hours ago in Evia.

According to initial reports in the area of Glyfada in Chalkida under unknown circumstances there was a violent collision between a truck and a train.

 

So far there have been no reports of injuries.

RAS head charged over Tempe railway accident

The Larissa Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against the head of the Regulatory Authority for Railways (RAS) in connection with the fatal Tempe train crash, following a recommendation from the appellate investigator. Truck crashes into train in Avlida; three injuries reported

A truck crashed into a passenger train near Avlida in southern Evia, Hellenic Train said Tuesday. Three minor injuries were reported.

According to the company, the truck veered off course on the peripheral road near Avlida and fell onto the train tracks, colliding with Train 1551 traveling from Halkida to Athens.

Large Fire Near Struma Highway Prompts Evacuation Preparations
