Evia: Road accident – Collision between a truck and a train
An accident occurred a few hours ago in Evia.
According to initial reports in the area of Glyfada in Chalkida under unknown circumstances there was a violent collision between a truck and a train.
So far there have been no reports of injuries.
RAS head charged over Tempe railway accident
The Larissa Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against the head of the Regulatory Authority for Railways (RAS) in connection with the fatal Tempe train crash, following a recommendation from the appellate investigator. The charges include intentional and repeated disruption of transportation safety through omission.

Truck crashes into train in Avlida; three injuries reported
A truck crashed into a passenger train near Avlida in southern Evia, Hellenic Train said Tuesday. Three minor injuries were reported.
According to the company, the truck veered off course on the peripheral road near Avlida and fell onto the train tracks, colliding with Train 1551 traveling from Halkida to Athens.
Russian Patrol Boat Neoprene Suit Discovered on Bulgarian Beach
A neoprene suit from a Russian patrol boat was discovered on Listi beach in Sinemorets by citizens participating in a beach cleanup, reported BNR-Burgas. The cleanup event, held twice a year in summer and October, was prompted by reports of significant pollution following a storm, explained Dragomira Raeva from the "Sineva" community center.
Large Fire Near Struma Highway Prompts Evacuation Preparations
A large fire is burning next to the Struma highway, with flames breaking out between the villages of Mikrevo and Kamenitsa in the municipality of Strumiani, according to BNT. Instead of dispatching two teams from the Sandanski fire department, additional firefighters and forest officials are heading to the scene.
