An accident occurred a few hours ago in Evia.

According to initial reports in the area of Glyfada in Chalkida under unknown circumstances there was a violent collision between a truck and a train.

So far there have been no reports of injuries.

A truck crashed into a passenger train near Avlida in southern Evia, Hellenic Train said Tuesday. Three minor injuries were reported.

According to the company, the truck veered off course on the peripheral road near Avlida and fell onto the train tracks, colliding with Train 1551 traveling from Halkida to Athens.

A large fire is burning next to the Struma highway, with flames breaking out between the villages of Mikrevo and Kamenitsa in the municipality of Strumiani, according to BNT.
