A total of 43 agroforestry fires were reported across the country in the last 24 hours. Of those, the Fire Department says 39 were dealt with immediately, at their initial stage, while firefighters are still dealing with 4.

Ireland: Helicopter crashes into building – Reports of casualties

A helicopter crashed into a building in Ireland today, causing casualties, according to police reports.

The incident took place near Kilucan in County Westmeath, Ireland, around 3:30 PM local time (5:30 PM Greek time), confirmed by the Irish police.

Police and emergency services are at the crash site.

Truck driver arrested in Avlida train collision

A truck driver involved in a collision with a passenger train earlier Tuesday near Avlida in Viotia has been arrested. 

State broadcaster ERT reported that the driver is accused of dangerous interference with public transport. An alcohol breath test showed he was not under the influence.
