Ex-royals seek citizenship

Members of the former Greek royal family are set to request the official recognition of their Greek citizenship on Thursday. 

Paul, the son of Greece's former king, Constantine Glucksberg, will submit the application on behalf of himself and several family members, including his brother Nicholas and five children. 

They plan to request that their citizenship be registered, using a two-word French surname, "de Grece," meaning "of the Greeks," as per their legal representatives. 

The Ministry of the Interior stated that the process involves recording their citizenship in municipal registers, not granting new nationality. The application will be processed at the Athens Registry Office.
