"Commitment to modernizing country and its European path"
Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Thursday in a meeting with members of the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, led by Chairperson David McAllister, that the government will remain committed to further modernization of the country, noting that it will continue to implement the necessary reforms with this aim.
Smuggler caught with 2.1 kilos of heroin taped to his body
The police from the town of Cacak and the Border Police Administration detained S.S., a resident of Cacak, in a joint operation as he was attempting to smuggle 2.1 kilograms of heroin.
The drugs were placed in packages and then attached to the man's abdomen with cling foil, the Interior Ministry (MUP) announced on Friday.
Serbs Petition Town To Name Street After Hawking
Locals in the Serbian town of Cacak have launched a petition to name a street after Stephen Hawking, who died on March 14 after a long battle with motor neurone disease.
"One of the greatest minds of the twentieth century undoubtedly deserves a street in Cacak to bear his name," the petition published online said.

Emir Kusturica injured in car accident
Acclaimed Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica was injured in a car accident on a highway linking Belgrade and the city of Cacak, the Serbian edition of Switzerland's Blic tabloid reported.
Kusturica was on a co driver seat, and both him and the driver Vicentije Savic were injured in the crash, which happened, according to unofficial information, on a new roundabout around Ljig.

A man from the central Serbian town of Cacak has kept the body of his deceased mother in a freezer for over a year.
The suspect, whose initials are M.M., did this in order to continue collecting her pension, the daily Vecernje Novosti is reporting.

Serbian PM Uses Budget Debate to Bash Opposition
Vucic repeatedly lashed out at opposition MPs in the parliamentary chamber on Monday and Tuesday during sessions held to discuss next year's budget.
He accused the far-right Dveri party of trying, with the help of the US ambassador to Belgrade, to rig this year's parliamentary elections, which his own Serbian Progressive Party won.

Javor to face Partizan in Serbian Cup final
CACAK - Javor from Ivanjica will meet Partizan Belgrade in the final of Serbian Cup 2015/2016, after drawing Borac 1-1 in the second leg and winning the tie on aggregate in Cacak on Wednesday.
Javor had an advantage after a home 2-1 win in the first leg and is playing the national cup final for the first time in history.
