Amorgos

The search for a 59-year-old American tourist who went missing while hiking alone on the Cycladic island of Amorgos continued on Thursday. 

The Municipality of Amorgos in the Cycladic islands has been fined by regional authorities for unlawfully constructing three new roads.

Following complaints filed with the Regional authority of the South Aegean and the Ombudsman by conservation groups and local residents, officials launched on-site inspections in 2021.

As part of the Umbrella campaign to reach remote communities, pediatricians volunteered to travel to remote municipalities around Greece to vaccinate children and inform parents.
