Female Bosnian Soldier Appeals Conviction for Killing Boy
Former Bosnian Army soldier Elfeta Veseli asked the appeals chamber of the state court in Sarajevo on Monday to quash the sentence convicting her of killing a Serb boy and hold a retrial.
Veseli said she hoped the appeals chamber would "correct the fatal mistake" of the first-instance verdict handed down in May this year.
Bosnia Convicts Female Ex-Soldier of Killing Serb Boy
The Bosnian state court in Sarajevo on Wednesday found Elfeta Veseli guilty of killing a 12-year-old boy, Slobodan Stojanovic, on an undetermined date in the second half of July or first half of August 1992 in the village of Bajrici-Novo Selo.
