90 countries to attend Swiss-hosted Ukraine peace summit
Nearly 90 countries and organizations, half from Europe, have confirmed attending the Swiss-hosted Ukraine peace summit over the weekend despite Russia's refusal to participate in the conference, Switzerland's president said on Monday.
Swiss return three confiscated artifacts to Iraq
Switzerland on May 24 returned to Iraq three important Mesopotamian objects seized during a criminal procedure, Bern said.
During a ceremony at the culture ministry in Bern, Swiss Interior Minister Elisabeth Baume-Schneider handed over a partial statue and two Mesopotamian reliefs to Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.

Ancient relics repatriated from Switzerland
Two antiquity fragments that were taken out of Greece illegally were repatriated from the Swiss capital Bern on January 23, the Culture Ministry said on Thursday.
One fragment bears an inscription carved in stone, dating from late 3rd century BC to early 2nd century BC, while the other is part of a marble Ionic column capital dating to Roman times, 1st to 2nd century AD.

Dick Marty, former CoE rapporteur who investigated crimes by "KLA", dies aged 78
BERN - Dick Marty, the former Council of Europe rapporteur who investigated crimes committed by the so-called "Kosovo Liberation Army" ("KLA") and human organ trafficking in Kosovo-Metohija, died on Thursday aged 78, Swiss.info reported.
The news of his death was confirmed by Switzerland's Radical-Liberal Party.
Away defeat to Young Boys ends Red Star's European campaign
BERN - Red Star Belgrade lost 2-0 to Swiss side Young Boys in a UEFA Champions League Group G Matchday 5 game in Bern on Tuesday evening.

Swiss hand over stolen fragment of Ramses II statue
Switzerland on July 3 handed back to Egypt a fragment of a 3,400-year-old statue of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Ramses II, which was stolen more than 30 years ago.
Carine Bachmann, director of the Federal Office of Culture, handed over the fragment to the Egyptian embassy in the capital Bern.
Greeks abroad go to the polls
Over 25,600 Greeks living abroad go to the polls Saturday, the second time that the diaspora can participate in national elections in their place of residence.
The 25,610 Greeks who are registered in the special electoral rolls abroad will vote in 35 countries around the world, where polling stations have been set up in 85 cities.
