Spain arrests nine accused of association with the PKK
Spanish police arrested nine people on Jan. 27 accused of belonging to and collaborating with a criminal and terrorist organization due to connections with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), the Spanish Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Fenerbahçe takes on Atromitos for Europa
Turkish football heavyweight and last year?s league title runner-up Fenerbahçe will host Greek rival Atromitos Aug. 27 in the UEFA Europa League play-offs second leg game in Istanbul, with the advantage of a 1-0 win away in the first game.

Swiss Air To Fly Sofia-Zurich From Summer 2015
Swiss, the airline of Switzerland will start flights between Zurich and Sofia as of next year's summer, said the company in a statement on its website.
From the start of the 2015 summer schedules, Swiss will be supplementing its traditional hub concept with a new point-to-point system and expanding its Zurich-based European network through the addition of 22 new destinations.

Sofia Fails to Become Host City for Euro 2020 Matches
Bulgaria will not host any matches of the UEFA Euro 2020 Championship, according to an announcement of UEFA.
UEFA announced the 13 venues that would host matches for the championship after a meeting of its executive committee in Geneva on Friday.
Sofia was one of the 19 candidates to host matches of Euro 2020 but it failed to make it among the 13 winners.
Turkey spills sweat and blood to defeat New Zealand in FIBA Basketball World Cup
Turkish national basketball team started the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in fussy style after beating New Zealand 76-73 in Group C game in the Spanish city of Bilbao on Aug. 30.
The âTall Blacksâ were the dominating side in the first half of the game, which saw the Oceanian side grasping a double-digit lead at the end of the second quarter: 38-28.
Sofia Among 19 Bidders for EURO 2020
Bulgaria's capital Sofia is among the 19 bidders to host the EURO 2020 football championship, placed on the official UEFA list.
The tournament will take place in 13 cities, of which one will host the semifinals and the final and the reaming 12 will host the group phase of the tournament.

Crvena zvezda in Eurocup Last 16
BILBAO - Crvena zvezda advanced to the basketball Eurocup Round of 16 after defeating the home team of Bilbao by 85-81 (25-17, 12-20, 23-20, 25-24) in their fifth match in Group L late on Wednesday.
With a score of 4-1, the Belgrade 'Red-and-Whites' have secured one of the top two spots in their group, one round before the end of second stage.
