A number of 158 persons infected with the Sars-CoV-2 virus have been confirmed so far on Romania's territory, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informs.

Corporal Ciprian Stefan Polschi, 38, killed in Afghanistan on Thursday, was posthumously extended honorary citizenship of the city of Buzau at a meeting on Monday of the Buzau Local Council.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a Code Yellow alert of heavy rainfalls and storms in 25 counties for Monday and a similar alert for 10 counties and the Bucharest Municipality until Tuesday morning.

Protesters have thrown eggs today at the Justice Ministry building in Bucharest, Agerpres news agency reported. The protest is about the latest changes in the laws of the judiciary.

An earthquake of magnitude 3.6 was registered in Romania, according to information on the site of the European Mediterranean Seismic Center.
 
The earthquake occurred at 22:46 local time, 53 kilometers northwest of Buzau, and 126 kilometers north of the capital, Bucharest, at a depth of 123 kilometers.
 
There is no information about injured people and material damage.

Magistrates of the High Court of Cassation and Justice filed a request to the DNA [National Anti-Corruption] Department to have the former Minister of Interior Cristian David, charged with taking bribery, remanded in custody for 30 days.

The National Meteorology Administration (ANM) on Sunday issued Code Yellow alerts of blizzard, snowfall and sleet for 28 counties, Bucharest included in place starting 10 p.m. on Sunday till Tuesday at the same hour.

Chief prosecutor of the National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA) Laura Codruta Kovesi has submitted to the attorney general a request for a criminal investigation of former Interior Minister Cristian David in relation to bribe taking and money laundering. The request should be forwarded to President Traian Basescu.
