Moldova President: Eurasian Union Ties Not Incompatible with EU Commitments
An agreement between Moldova and the Eurasian Economic Union will not be in any contradiction with the country's EU commitments, President Igor Dodon has told Sputnik Moldova.
Dodon, who was elected in November, has made no secret of his desire to dissolve Parliament and call a snap election over the course of the year.

Pro-Russia Candidate Wins Moldova Presidency
The almost final results of the presidential election in Moldova show a clear victory for the leader of Socialist Party, Igor Dodon, with around 52.3 per cent of the vote. His pro-EU rival, Maia Sandu, won 47.7 per cent.

Serbia beat Moldova in World Cup qualifier
CHISINAU - The Serbia men's national football team has chalked up its first victory in the World Cup 2018 qualifications by beating Moldova 3-0 away from home in a Group D, Round 2 game in Chisinau late Thursday.
Filip Kostic, Branislav Ivanovic and Dusan Tadic scored in the 19th, 27th and the 59th minute, respectively.

Serbia-Moldova relations exemplary
CHISINAU - Serbian Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic was on a one-day visit to Moldova Thursday to speak with the country's top officials.
The relations between Serbia and Moldova are exemplary, the two parties agreed at the meetings.
Dacic was meeting with PM Pavel Filip and FM Andrei Galbur.

Muslin wants all six points from next two World Cup qualifiers
STARA PAZOVA - The head coach of the Serbia national football team Slavoljub Muslin said Monday he would only be pleased with all six points from October's World Cup qualifying games against Moldova and Austria.
Romania to Boost Media Presence in Moldova
The Romanian government has set up a Romania-Moldova mass media consultative board in order to create a joint media space in the two countries, spread EU values and counter Russian influence.
"The board's mission is to spread European norms to Moldova and explore the opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the mass media," the Romanian Foreign Ministry said.

Moldova Protesters Rally for Early Elections
Some 40,000 people demonstrated in the Moldovan capital Chisinau on Sunday to demand early elections amid the ongoing crisis in Europe's poorest country, local media reported.
"The people are with us. They do not want to support oligarchs and the criminal authorities," opposition leader Andrei Nastase told protesters, AFP news agency reported.
