Digitalisation and AI in focus at Slovenia Expo pavilion next week

Dubai – A delegation of 36 Slovenian business representatives of 19 companies is heading to Dubai on Sunday for a three-day visit of the Expo show focussing on digitalisation and artificial intelligence. The country’s administration minister will also be on hand.

Water bottling company Costella up for sale

Ljubljana – The Swiss company Agrokor, which is in liquidation, is soliciting interest in the purchase of the Costella water bottling company, whose most valuable asset is a water extraction concession valid until 2035. The first non-binding bids for the company are expected in the coming days, the newspaper Finance reported on Thursday.

Podgoršek talks food industry cooperation in Dubai

Dubai – Agriculture Minister Jože Podgoršek met in Dubai on Tuesday Saif Mohammed Rashid Saeed al Shara, a high representative of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE. The pair talked cooperation in agricultural and food products and the transfer of knowledge, especially in terms of cooperation of expert institutions.

Minister highlights countryside digitalisation in Expo debate

Dubai – Agriculture Minister Jože Podgoršek took part in a debate discussing efforts to tackle global challenges related to smart villages, which was held as part of the Expo 2020 in Dubai on Monday. Countryside digitalisation is one of the priorities of the new common agricultural policy, he said according to the Agriculture Ministry.

Turkish, Japanese space agencies sign cooperation deal

The Turkish Space Agency (TUA) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) signed a cooperation agreement on Oct. 27.

According to a press release by the TUA, the agreement was signed on cooperation for peaceful purposes by the presidents of the two agencies during the ongoing International Astronautical Congress in Dubai.
