Bansko, Bulgaria, has been recognized as one of the top travel destinations for 2025, ranking third in Lonely Planet's list of best travel spots. The city of Toulouse, France, takes the top spot, according to The Independent.

Wildfires bore down on two Canadian cities Friday, with firefighters in the west bracing for another "scary" night as stunned refugees from the far north began arriving at shelters after their entire city was evacuated.
Military put on standby to evacuate fire-threatened towns in western Canada
Ottawa prepared on July 2 to send military aircraft and other help to evacuate towns and fight more than 100 wildfires in western Canada fueled by a record-smashing heat wave.
According to wildfire officials, at least 152 fires were active in British Columbia, 89 of them sparked in the last two days. Most were caused by lightning strikes.

Police are after a man who drove a rental van into a group of pedestrians and then stabbed a police officer in the neck. Some reports says he has already been arrested.

People rushed to take photos of the rare eclipse of the supermoon on September 27. NASA says that total eclipses of super full moons are rare and have only occured 5 times in the 1900s (1910, 1928, 1946, 1964 and 1982). The next Supermoon eclipse is due in another 18 years.
