Train Chaos in Sofia: Delays and Cancellations Hit Services
Train services have been disrupted due to damage to the contact rail network at Poduyane station in Sofia, resulting in cancellations and significant delays.
The high-speed train from Sofia to Burgas is currently running 80 minutes behind schedule, with additional delays incurred as a result of waiting to pass other trains affected by the damage.

The incidence of coronavirus in Sofia district is 916 per 100,000 people in all 22 municipalities. "This indicator determines that Sofia region is in the second stage of the spread of the epidemic," Sofia regional governor Ivan Ivanov was quoted as saying by BTA.

Schools in 10 Regions of the Country Closed over the Flu Outbreak
The Ministry of Education has announced that schools are closing down in 10 regions of the country over the flu outbreak. In three regions - Bourgas, Pernik and Shumen - all schools are closed, in seven regions only some.
As of today until 8 March, schools are closed in the municipalities of Kostinbrod, Svoge, Botevgrad, Pravets, Zlatitsa, Koprivshtitsa, and Sofia-region.

Bulgaria marks the 139th anniversary of the 1876 April Uprising for the liberation of Bulgaria.
Celebrations will be held in different towns and cities in the country, including Koprivshtitsa, Klisura, and Panagyurishte.
Koprivshtitsa was one of the centers of the Uprising and is known for its traditional Bulgarian architecture, making it a very popular tourist destination.
