Aleksandra Krunic exits in Melbourne
MELBOURNE - Serbia's Aleksandra Krunic has failed to reach the second round of the Australian Open after losing to Lauren Davis of the United States 6-1, 7-5 at the start of her campaign on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Jelena Jankovic also suffered a first-round defeat, joining compatriots Ana Ivanovic and Bojana Jovanovski.

Tennis: Marius Copil qualifies for second round of Australian Open
Romanian tennis player Marius Copil on Tuesday, in Melbourne, qualified for the second round of the Australian Open tennis tournament, the first Grand Slam of the year, after defeating Spaniard Pablo Andujar, in three sets, 6-2, 6-2, 7-5.

Jelena Jankovic out of Australian Open as well
MELBOURNE - After Ana Ivanovic and Bojana Jovanovski, Jelena Jankovic is the latest Serbian player to be ousted from the Australian Open, as she lost to Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky 6-1 6-4 on Tuesday.
Aleksandra Krunic is the only remaining Serbian player in the women's draw. She is scheduled to face Lauren Davis of the US in her first match at the tournament on Tuesday.

Djokovic gets off to winning start in Melbourne
MELBOURNE - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the number one in men's tennis, has got off to a winning start at the Australian Open in Melbourne by beating Slovenia's Aljaz Bedene 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 early Tuesday.
In the next round of the season's first Grand Slam tournament, Djokovic will face the winner of the match between Andrey Kuznetsov of Russia and Albert Ramos of Spain.

Troicki off to winning start in Melbourne
MELBOURNE - Serbia's tennis player Viktor Troicki made a winning start at the Australian Open, after defeating Jiri Vesely of the Czech Republic 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 in a first-round match on Monday.
After claiming the title in Sydney, Troicki continued with good matches, confirming he is in excellent shape.

Ana Ivanovic suffers early exit in Melbourne
MELBOURNE - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic has faced an early exit at the Australian Open tennis tournament in Melbourne after losing to Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic 2-1 early Monday.
The start of the match suggested a different outcome as Ivanovic won the first set 6-1 in a convincing manner.
