German prosecutors today asked for a 15-year sentence for the main suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, who is on trial for a series of sex crimes in a separate proceeding from the investigation into the little British girl.

Five Greek beaches are in Europe’s top 15 list for 2017, according to preferences of travelers from around the globe on the website European Best Destinations. Those are Xi beach in Kefalonia, Simos Beach on Elafonisos island, Seychelles Beach in Icaria, Porto Timoni Beach in Corfu and Canal d’Amour in Sidari.

Elafonisi in Greece is among the 14 best beaches in the world and the second best in Europe for 2016, according to the leading travel platform TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards.

Moreover, another five Greek beaches are among the best 15 in Europe: Limnionas Zakynthos, Balos, Agios Pavlos Lindos, Sarakiniko Milos and Egremni Lefkada.
