Hurricane Harvey makes landfall as Texas braces for “catastrophic” rains, high winds

By the time Hurricane Harvey was downgraded to a Category 1 storm early Saturday, it had already delivered a 1-2 punch to the Gulf Coast of Texas, making landfall twice, with powerful wind gusts and the threat of catastrophic flooding.

It was still threatening to be the most powerful storm to hit the Lone Star State in more than a decade.

Eight bodies found in truck in Texas parking lot

Eight people were found dead on July 23 inside a truck in a Walmart parking lot in San Antonio, Texas in what police said appeared to be "human trafficking crime."

Another 28 people were injured - 20 of them severely - and were being treated at seven local hospitals, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus and Fire Chief Charles Hood told reporters.

Pironkova occupies the 93th position with 722 points in the latest ranking released on Monday, climbing twelve places from her previous standing.

This progress is due to her performance at the San Antonio Open where the Bulgarian reached the semifinals.
