Police in Kos find scrap of fabric during dig for Ben’s body
Police searching for missing toddler Ben Needham on the island of Kos say they have uncovered items of “slight interest”, following an initial excavation of a site close to where he was last seen. The items found are said to have been fabric and bones believed to belong to a dog or other animal.

According to reports, the mother of missing toddler Ben Needham says she has been told by British investigators that her son may have been crushed to death by a digger, in the Greek island of Kos.
South Yorkshire police confirmed its officers planned to return to the Greek Island of Kos, where the 21-month-old went missing in 1991, to excavate two sites after fresh leads.

Bulgarian Wins Mural Art Competition in Australia's Sheffield
Bulgarian Nikolay Dimitrov has won a mural art competition in Sheffield, Tasmania's "Town of Murals."
Dimitrov won the ,000 prize at the 2015 edition of the annual Mural Fest with his work "Traveling Dreams", according to reports of local newspaper The Advocate and Bulgaria's Capital Daily.

The crowd was anxious to hear. Young chefs were waiting nervously, hoping that their names would be called. The winning team would have a big reward: a trip to Turkey. This was at the "Skills for Chefs" event last July at Sheffield University. As part of the event, a competition was dedicated to encourage talented teams; "Young Restaurant Team of the Year" had a very special treat.

Joe Cocker Dies at 70
English rock and blues singer Joe Cocker died of lung cancer at the age of 70 on Monday in Crawford, Colorado.
His agent Barrie Marshall said Cocker was "without the doubt the greatest rock/soul voice ever to come out of Britain and remained the same man throughout his life."

Chefs with skills
It was only the day before his departure that Chef Cem Erol of the MSA learned about the bad news. He was about to leave for Sheffield University to participate in the event âSkills for Chefs,â where he was to prepare a special dinner for 150 chefs and conduct six workshops in a row. The bad news was his kitchen team of four could not get their visas to enter the U.K.

Romania wins 25 new medals at WUKF European Karate Championship in Verona
AGERPRES correspondent Aristotel Bunescu reports: Romania has won on Friday 25 new medals (8 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 9 bronze medals) in the European Karate Championship organized by the World Union of Karate-do Federations (WUKF) at the Palace of Sports in Verona.
As such, Romania's medal count reached 28 if we are to add the 3 medals gained on Thursday.
Florin Ionita, medal-winning competitor and coach at WUKF European Karate Championship
Florin Ionita of the Onesti Karate Sakura Sports Club won three medals - one gold and two bronze - in the European Championship organized by the World Union of Karate-do Federations (WUKF) at the Palace of Sports in Verona (Italy).
Avram won bronze in kata, the 9-10 years age category; Potarca had a similar performance in the kumite 11-12 years category.
