‘Nobody Hears You’: Migrants, Refugees Beaten on Balkan Borders
Between May 2017 and May last year, NNK recorded 215 reported cases of push-backs by Croatian police to Serbia, of which 45 per cent involved physical violence.
Between May 2017 and December last year, there were 141 push-backs from Croatia to Bosnia, NNK reported, of which 84 per cent involved violence.
Migrants Gather on Serbian, Bosnian Borders to Enter Croatia
Some 400 migrants and refugees gathered on Tuesday on Bosnia and Herzegovina's border with Croatia, with a similar number massing on Serbia's border with Croatia, local media reported.
Croatian police announced that misinformation had been spread that the EU state would open its borders.

The president then asked journalists during his visit to the town of Sid on Thursday "whether this information was sent to Jeremic from the Qatari embassy in Berlin" and, "whether they sent him money once again or what - informed him about November 4?"

Croatia to Release Relative of Killed Refugee Child
The Administrative Court in the town of Osijek on Wednesday scrapped the custody order for one adult member of the Hosseini family, Croatian Centre for Peace Studies, a human rights NGO, told BIRN.
This sparked hope among human rights campaigners involved in the case that the rest of the family could be released soon.
Serbia Detains Italian Journalist for 'Robbing Migrants'
According to his website, Serbia has been holding an Italian freelance photojournalist from Turin for the past seven days, after arresting him in the town of Sid, near the Croatian border, on suspicion of attacking and robbing three migrants.
Mauro Donato's website states that he is suspected of robbing migrants of 300 dinars, worth less then three euros.
Migrants Cluster Near Serbia-Croatia Border
More than a hundred refugees and migrants were still wandering around the Serbian border town of Sid on December 27 one day after Serbian police broke up a protest there.
A few dozen people had protested at the border line between Serbia and Croatia on December 26 and were demanding to continue their trip toward Western Europe.

Serbia Police Remove Protesting Refugees From Croatia Border
Serbian police on Tuesday evening removed around 150 refugees, mostly from the Middle East, who were protesting on the border with Croatia demanding to be allowed into Croatia on their way to Western Europe, regional N1 media hub reported on Wednesday.
