TEKIJA - All houses will be repaired or rebuilt and the government and Armed Forces will always be with their people, Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has said in Tekija, adding that he came there to encourage the locals after the recent floods that hit the area and to tell them that the government will do everything it can to bring life there back to normal.

KLADOVO -- Three persons are still listed as missing in the flash flooding that hit the region of the town of Kladovo in eastern Serbia, Mayor Radovan Arežina has said.
Elderly Woman Dies in Flood-Hit Eastern Serbia
Flooding caused by heavy rain has claimed the life of an elderly woman in the eastern Serbian village of Tekija.
According to reports of state-run RTS television, some 370 people were evacuated Monday in the region of Kladovo.
Emergency situation has been declared in a number of regions, including Kladovo and Negotin, due to flooded roads and bridges and landslides.

Hundreds evacuated from flood-hit areas in east
KLADOVO -- Rain continues to fall in eastern Serbia on Tuesday, where flash flooding on Monday wreaked havoc in several municipalities.
According to the MUP Emergency Situations Sector, 370 people have been evacuated from villages along the Danube River, some by boat.

Storms cause damage to Djerdap 1, operation not in danger
BELGRADE - Severe thunderstorms with heavy rain and strong winds caused great damage to the Djerdap 1 hydroelectric power plant near the town of Kladovo in eastern Serbia during the night and early in the morning on Monday, but did not jeopardize the plant's operation, whose five units are generating a maximum power output, the Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) said in a release.
