British PM heads to Turkey after meeting with Trump
British Prime Minister Theresa May will pay her first official visit to Turkey since she took office in July 2016 where she is expected to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım in Ankara on Jan. 27.
She departed for Turkey immediately after meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington D.C. on Jan. 26.

Turkish, US military chiefs discuss Raqqa, Mosul operations
The United States' top soldier, Gen. Joseph Dunford, and Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar discussed joint strategies against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) during a surprise visit by the former to Ankara on Nov. 6, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) said in a statement.
Miss Turkey 2016 crowned
Four pageant contestants were crowned during a ceremony at the Miss Turkey 2016 Contest, organized on Sept. 28.
Twenty girls participated in the contest, organized by the Miss Turkey Organization at a five-star hotel in the southern province of Antalya's Serik district.
