Air Serbia carries record-high number of passengers in July

BELGRADE - Air Serbia carried 548,009 passengers in July, which was a 7.2 pct y-o-y increase in scheduled operations.

The Serbian national airline operated a total of 5,203 flights from the airports in Belgrade, Nis, and Kraljevo, up 6.8 pct compared to July 2023, in scheduled flights, the company said in a statement.

Vucic: Serbia to develop cargo transport at Nis airport

NIS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Tuesday Air Serbia would provide special subsidies to the Constantine the Great Airport in Nis for low cost flights and that Serbia aimed to develop cargo transport at the airport.

During a tour of the airport's new terminal building, Vucic said it was difficult to develop cargo transport without a developed industry.

Air Serbia carries more than 370,000 passengers in May

BELGRADE - Air Serbia carried 372,638 passengers on scheduled and charter flights in May 2024, which was an 11 pct increase y-o-y.

"It is the best May performance since Air Serbia was founded in 2013. From the airports in Belgrade, Nis and Kraljevo, the Serbian national carrier operated 3,869 flights in May, a 4 pct increase y-o-y," the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

Air Serbia to fly to Mostar from April to October

BELGRADE - In partnership with Mostar Airport, Air Serbia will operate scheduled passenger flights between Belgrade and Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from April to October 2024, Air Serbia announced on Wednesday.

"The planned frequency is three times a week, on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays, using Embraer E175 aircraft," the Serbian flagship airline said in a statement.
