Eight consortia including four German companies bid in Turkish wind project tender
Eight consortia, including four German giants, participated in the Turkish Energy Ministry's 1,000 megawatts (MW) wind power project tender on July 27.
In addition to the German giants, Chinese and Danish Vestas also took part in the bidding consortia as well as the U.S.'s General Electric along with their local partners.

Turkish airport operator TAV has signed a deal with Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority to operate three airports in the Gulf country in partnership with the Al Rajhi Group, the Turkish operator has announced.

EBRD acquires stake in Turkish Akfen's renewable energy arm
In its first direct equity investment in Turkey's power sector, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has said it is acquiring a 20 percent stake in the renewable energy subsidiary of Akfen Holding, one of the leading infrastructure groups in the country, in a written statement on Dec. 15.
