More and more buildings in Turkey are being integrated into a system that will help authorities get information immediately about these structures and residences in case of an earthquake.
Under the Building Identification System, each building is assigned a unique QR code, with chips installed that store information such as who lives in the building and floor plans.

Turkey delivers ATAK helicopter to Philippines

Turkish defense firms to attend fair in Chile
Turkey's largest defense companies will showcase their products at another international fair, this time in Chile.
Aselsan, Aspilsan, Havelsan, Nurol, Otokar, Repkon, Roketsan, Tisaş, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ, and Canik will take part in the International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE), which will take place between April 5 and April 10 in Chile's capital Santiago.

Aselsan denies claims of share sale
Aselsan has denied claims that the shares of the company, majority owned by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, would be sold to foreign investors.
The company reserves its legal rights against those false claims and media reports based on those claims, a company statement read late on Dec. 7.

Turkish defense giants devote huge budgets to R&D
Managers of Turkey's largest defense companies underlined the importance of research and development activities during a panel in Turkey's major defense event.
Speaking at SAHA EXPO, managers said their firms allocate a significant amount of budget for R&D activities.

Turkey test-fires air defense missile Siper
Turkey successfully test-fired long-range indigenous air defense missile Siper, a top defense official said on Nov. 6.
Different tests of the air defense system, which is planned to enter the army's inventory in 2023, will continue, İsmail Demir, the head of Turkey's Defense Industries Presidency, tweeted.
