Erdoğan in US urges for more investments in Turkey

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan encouraged approximately 40 international investors he met during his visit to the U.S. on May 15 and 16 to intensify investments in Turkey, a written statement from the meeting's coordinator, the Investment Support and Promotion Agency of Turkey (ISPAT), said on May 17.

Cargill to acquire majority stake in Turkey's Ekol G?da

The U.S.-based food giant Cargill announced on May 27 that one of its units has agreed on terms to acquire a 51 percent stake in Ekol G?da, which operates in the premixes and animal feed additives market in Turkey.

The deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in summer 2015, the company said in a press release. 

PM Victor Ponta meets CIA Director John Brennan in Washington
