Bulgaria, Northern Macedonia and Albania have signed a memorandum on integrating their electricity markets and developing joint electricity trading in Southeast Europe, the state-run Electricity System Operator announced on Friday.

Measures to stabilise the prices at the free electricity market were discussed at a meeting in the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission on 14th of January, reported the Bulgarian National Television.

The state has negotiated 12% more as value, public procurement this year compared to the past.

 The central and local authorities are obliged to spend their money transparently and for this purpose they publish their orders on a daily basis in the register of the same name.

Stara Zagora. A heavy thunderstorm has caused serious damage to four 110 kV power lines, said the Electricity System Operator (ESO). The high winds have knocked six poles down into the waters of the Rozov Kladenets dam leading to loss of the electric power produced by Brikel thermal power station.

An incident with a 110 kV facility, owned by the State Electricity System Operator (ESO), required the shutdown of the Student City substation, the CEZ press center announced.

There is no power supply at present in Studentski Grad, Dragalevtsi, Simeonovo, Vitosha, Cinema center Boyana, Malinova dolina, Zheleznitsa, Bistritsa, Yarema and others.

For the first five months of 2018, production and consumption of electricity in Bulgaria decreased, while exports of electricity increased compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Electricity System Operator.

Renewable energy sources are increasing both in the transmission and distribution networks of the country. This shows the latest operating data of the Electricity System Operator quoted by bTV.

Electricity consumption in the period January 1 to October 22, 2017 rose by 5.02 percent compared to the same period last year, reports 24 chasa. 

Electricity production in the period from January 1 to August 13, 2017, increased to 28,019,217 megawatt an hours, up 3.64 per cent compared to the same period in 2016. This shows the operating data of the Electricity System Operator.

The consumption of energy from renewable sources has increased by nearly ten percent in Bulgaria during the first seven months of 2017, according to data from the Electricity System Operator, announced on Wednesday, reports Mediapool.
