Supermarkets: January sales dropped by 3.4%

According to the latest NielsenIQ measurements, sales in value at organized food retail in January this year showed a negative trend at -3.4%, compared to January 2021.

More than 9,500 requests had been submitted, according to information, as of yesterday on the special platform of Attiki Odos for the vehicles that were blocked during the "Elpida" severe weather front.

The most dramatic situation is on the Attiki Odos highway, the bypass around Athens that connects the capital with the airport, where hundreds of vehicles are currently still trapped, reports the Greek portal Kathimerini, as Blic finds out.
