BELGRADE - The Serbian government has received the approval of Etihad Airways to publish the agreement on strategic partnership with Air Serbia, and it is a matter of day when the agreement will be made public, Sinisa Mali, advisor of the first deputy prime minister, said on Wednesday.

Etihad on Tuesday announced that an initial loan of $40 million that it gave to Air Serbia has now been transformed into shares, with the consent of the Serbian government.

BELGRADE - The United Arab Emirates' (UAE) national airline Etihad Airways announced on Tuesday that required official approvals had been ensured that confirm a strategic partnership between Air Serbia and Etihad Airways.

BIRN obtained five draft agreements made by UAE’s Etihad Airways, the Serbian government and Jat Airways, six days before the three parties signed contracts on a strategic partnership on August 1.

In November 2013, Air Serbia refused Transparency Serbia’s request to see the airline's contract with Etihad, stating commercial confidentiality.

BELGRADE – Air Serbia, Serbia's national carrier, will move from its existing check-in system at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport, known as Gaetan, to a new state-of-the-art platform called SabreSonic Check-in on Tuesday.
