Alexandroupolis FSRU sailing into port
After undergoing a conversion into a floating storage regasification unit (FSRU), the GasLog tanker set sail on November 26 from Seatrium, Keppel's famous shipyard in Singapore and where most conversations from LNG tanker to FSRUs are carried out, and is expected to reach the port of Alexandroupoli on December 17.

FSRU vessel set to arrive at Alexandroupoli port
After a long journey from Singapore's Seatrium shipyard via the Suez Canal, a GasLog tanker is due to arrive in Alexandroupoli converted into a floating liquefied natural gas storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and named Alexandroupolis in honor of the city and its people, who will host it permanently in the Thracian Sea.

Bulgaria takes 20% stake in Greek LNG terminal
Bulgaria's state gas company Bulgartransgaz has finalized a deal to take 20% of Greek company Gastrade, which is developing a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility off the city of Alexandroupoli, Gastrade said on Thursday.
The deal is part of Bulgaria's strategy to diversify and to decrease its dependence on Russian gas.

Firms including MOL, Osaka, Gaslog, chosen in Cyprus FSRU LNG tender
Three joint ventures have been selected by Cyprus in the first stage of a tender to provide a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to import liquefied natural gas (LNG).
The first joint venture is led by China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering, Natural Gas Public Company of Cyprus (DEFA) said on its website.

Bulgaria plans to become a shareholder in a liquefied natural gas terminal off the coast of northern Greece by the end of the year as the Balkan country tries to diversify its energy supplies, Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova reported, quoted by Reuters.
Tanker runs aground off Crete
A Bermuda-flagged tanker ran aground off the Cretan port of Iraklio on Saturday morning but there were no reports of any injuries to the 31-strong crew, which included 10 Greeks, or any marine pollution.

Bulgaria plans to become a shareholder in a liquefied natural gas terminal off the coast of northern Greece by the end of the year as the Balkan country tries to diversify its energy supplies, Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova said on Wednesday, reports Reuters.
Gastrade signs LNG deal with DEPA
Greece's state-controlled natural gas firm DEPA signed a cooperation agreement on Thursday with natural gas company Gastrade to participate in the development of a liquefied natural gas terminal in northern Greece, DEPA said.
Greece currently has one LNG terminal on Revythousa, an islet off Athens.
