The retail giant is awaiting the decision from the Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition to sign a long-term lease contract for the Triumph stores. The move is a part of Maxima's long-term strategy to strengthen T-Market's growth in Bulgaria.

Maxima Bulgaria, owned by Maxima Grupė, has submitted a notification to the Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition of entering into a long-term lease agreement regarding the rental of the stores from the local retail chain Triumph. The stores are situated in the city of Plovdiv, the second biggest city in the country.

The T MARKET retail chain will open four more new stores in Bulgaria by the end of the year, and plans to renovate at least four more, the company said.
