Missing skier found alive, TV reports
A 23-year-old skier who went missing on Monday at the popular Seli ski resort in Imathia, central Macedonia, has been found alive by rescue crews, state-run broadcaster ERT reported on Tuesday afternoon.
Initial reports indicate that he is well in his health.
The skier, who friends said is a paratrooper, had been snowboarding with friends but ventured off alone to explore. When he failed to return, his companions notified the ski resort staff and the fire service.
Since then, a large team of firefighters, forces of the 2nd and 7th EMAK rescue unit, a trained dog, volunteers, a helicopter, thermal cameras and drones had been deployed to find him.
