The Michelin Guide, the world's leading restaurant guide, announced its 2025 selection for Istanbul, İzmir, and Muğla provinces in Türkiye. In its third year, the list gave positive vibes that sustainability and environmentally friendly venues will be on the rise in the future with the increase in Green stars. The concept of farm-to-plate has been officially given the green light!

Minister offers ‘Mengen’ standard for local cuisine
Education Minister Yusuf Tekin has proposed the introduction of a "Mengen Accreditation" as an alternative to the prestigious Michelin Star in recognizing Anatolian cuisine.
The Mengen Culinary and Tourism Festival, held annually since 1981, showcases a variety of local dishes and cultural events.

Michelin Guide to unveil Istanbul restaurant selection in fall
The Michelin Guide has said it will unveil its first restaurant selection for Istanbul in October this year.
"Istanbul, which is a first-rate gastronomy destination, impressed our team. Michelin Guide will now introduce this city to gourmets from all around the world," Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide, told a press conference in Istanbul on April 21.

Epidemiologist Fafangel Delo’s person of the year
Ljubljana – Mario Fafangel, the head of the Centre for Communicable Diseases at the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ), was declared the Person of the Year 2020 by the newspaper publisher Delo at an online event on Thursday evening. He was labelled the leading epidemiologist “showing us the way in the restless sea of the epidemic”.
