Kosovo Charges Two Company Officials Over Water Poisoning Case

The Peja/Pec Basic Prosecution charged two officials of the Kosovo water supply company Hidrodrini in Peja/Pec, related to water poisoning in Decan/Decani in July 2021.

Prosecutor Dorjan Juniku confirmed on Monday that they were charged with involvement in the poisoning of around 1,500 people in the Decan/Decani area.

Over 11,600 new Covid cases confirmed in Slovenia on Friday

Ljubljana – A total of 11,680 new coronavirus infections were detected in Slovenia on Friday, almost the same as the day before, as 4,030 PCR and 115,994 rapid antigen tests were examined. After-hours voting proposed for those in quarantine, isolation

Ljubljana – In a bid to adjust the upcoming general election to the Covid reality, the National Electoral Commission (DVK) has proposed that polling stations remain open for two extra hours in the evening to enable people in isolation or quarantine to cast their votes. A decision on the proposal is expected on Thursday.

Epidemiological curve still on the rise

Ljubljana – The number of new coronavirus cases was still up in weekly comparison on Sunday, as 8,575 new infections were detected, which compares to almost 8,400 a week ago. The National Institute of Public Health estimates there are now almost 172,400 active cases in the country. Currently, 172,380 cases are considered active, which is 3,640 more than the day before.

Almost 14,880 new coronavirus cases recorded on Friday

Ljubljana – A total of 14,878 new coronavirus infections were detected in Slovenia on Friday in what is the third largest number of new daily infections since the start of the epidemic. There are currently 160,899 active infections in the country, up by 7,565 from the day before, according to estimates by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).
