Qatar is ready to invest in financial instruments issued by the Bulgarian Development Bank and the Bulgarian Deposit Insurance Fund (BDIF), thereby supporting the financing of the national program for the renovation of multi-family buildings and capitalizing the BDIF according to Bulgaria's Finance Ministry.

Etihad Airways on May 14 answered U.S. airlines' claims that the Abu Dhabi-based carrier benefits from subsidies, alleging that those airlines received more than $70 billion in government support since 2000, largely via bankruptcy protection and pension guarantees.

Over 140 weekly flights on new routes, an additional 189 flights on existing routes and 10 new destinations make up the picture at Athens International Airport this summer, which will likely be a very busy one.

Qatar Airways is increasing flights to Athens from Doha with the addition of a third flight to operate daily from June 1. This will raise the number of weekly flights to the Greek capital from 14 to 21 flights per week.

The Athens-Doha route, carried out by Airbus 320, 321 and 330, will be one of 146 destinations around the globe carried out by the airline.

Sofia Airport serviced a total of 866 786 arriving and departing passengers in the first three months of 2015, up by 4.6% on the year, according to a media statement of the airport.
