Bulgarian Prosecuting Authority Presses Charges against Racketeering Group
Bulgaria's Specialized Prosecutor's Office has pressed charges against seven alleged participants in an organized crime group engaged in racketeering and an accomplice.
The six members of the crime group were arrested on Monday and one of them is currently serving a prison sentence.
Deputy Head of Svilengrad Customs Office Indicted
Bulgaria's Specialized Prosecutor's Office said Georgi Kostadinov, Deputy Director of Customs Office in the border town of Svilengrad, was indicted on Thursday.
Kostadinov is charged with the possession of significant quantities of drug substances with the purpose of supplying them as part of an organized criminal group, according to the Bulgarian private channel NOVA TV.
